Donations Sought for Backpack Student Meal Program in Tipp City
Information provided
TIPP CITY — Tipp Monroe Community Services will continue partnering with Tipp City Schools to provide students with weekend meals through its Backpack Program. The program offers a supply of nutritious, nonperishable food for children during weekends and extended school breaks. It is open to any family in Tipp City Schools, with requests made through each school’s guidance counselor. There is no cost to participate.

Each Friday, students enrolled in the program receive a bag containing enough food for two breakfasts, two lunches, six snacks and two dinners.
TMCS collects and bags all donated food items. A representative from the school board office then picks up the bags and ensures they are distributed to participating students before they leave school on Fridays.
Donations are needed to keep the program running. All donated food must be individually wrapped and in single-serving portions.
Items needed include:
• Pringles potato chips (single-serve), Van Camp’s Beanee Weenee, Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies
• Reese’s Puffs and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal bar treats
• Apple & Eve 100% juice variety pack
• Chef Boyardee variety pack (7.5 oz. cans)
