Christmas in the Village festival set for Dec. 6 in St. Paris

ST. PARIS, Ohio — The annual Christmas in the Village festival will take place Saturday, Dec. 6, in downtown St. Paris. South Springfield Street will be closed from Main Street to Plum Street for the event, which runs from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
The festival will feature sleigh rides, wreath-making, a hot cocoa bar, photos with Santa, and a children’s activity area in the First Central National Bank parking lot. Downtown businesses will be open throughout the afternoon.
A craft show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with vendors set up in the Evans-Purk building and the municipal building. Eight food trucks will serve festivalgoers, including La Granja Mexican, Bacon, Wilsons Rollin Shmoke BBQ, New Orleans Bourbon Chicken, Schmidt’s Sausage, Travlin Tom’s Coffee, The Old Pine Coffee Trailer, and D&L Concessions.
The community tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. in front of the municipal building, followed by a lighted parade at 6 p.m. traveling down Main Street toward Urbana.
