Community Wellness Day Planned at Sidney McDonald’s on Sept. 12

SIDNEY – Scott Family McDonald’s and Wilson Health will host a free Community Wellness Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 12, at the McDonald’s at 2215 W. Michigan St. in Sidney.

 

   The family-friendly event will bring together local health, wellness and safety organizations to provide information, activities and resources for the community.

 

   Activities will include free health screenings, massages, a children’s obstacle course, a CrossFit Kids Zone, health and wellness information, giveaways and other activities.

 

   Participating organizations will include local law enforcement, fire and EMS agencies, public health and mental health and wellness organizations, as well as Ronald McDonald House Charities Dayton and other community partners.

 

   The event is free and open to the public. Attendees may stop by at any time during the three-hour event.

   Scott Family McDonald’s also will host a digital fundraiser for Labor of Love Pet Rescue from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at its Troy location.

 

   During the fundraiser, 20% of digital sales made through the McDonald’s app will be donated to Labor of Love Pet Rescue. The organization’s owner, Joe Laber, is scheduled to attend, along with dogs on the restaurant’s patio, weather permitting.
