Covington Asphalt Overlay Project Delayed; Broadway Street Reopening Targeted for Aug. 14
Information from the Village of Covington
COVINGTON — The Village of Covington has announced updates regarding the asphalt overlay project and the Broadway Utility Project.
Due to scheduling and weather conditions, the asphalt overlay project has been delayed and is now expected to take place the week of Aug. 10, weather and scheduling permitting.
The asphalt overlay will include various locations along East and West Broadway Street, North High Street and North Main Street. Temporary lane restrictions may occur while work is underway. Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through these areas.
West Broadway Street, which is part of the Broadway Utility Project, remains projected to reopen in early August, with a target reopening date of Aug. 14, 2026.
The village said both projects are dependent on weather, scheduling and permitting. Updates will be posted on the Village of Covington’s website and social media pages.
Residents with questions or concerns may contact the Village of Covington office. The village thanked residents for their continued patience and cooperation.
