Darke County Visitors Bureau to Host Tourism Collaboration Event on Oct. 22

GREENVILLE - The Darke County Visitors Bureau will host a countywide tourism collaborative on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at the John & Iris Hathaway Education & Community Center, bringing together partners who help make Darke County a distinctive destination.

  The event, titled “Distinctly Darke County – Sharing Tourism Together,” invites tourism partners, community organizations and local businesses to an evening of networking, collaboration and idea sharing. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with light refreshments provided.

 

   “This gathering is about celebrating the people and places that shape the Darke County experience,” said Greg Billing, executive director of the Darke County Visitors Bureau. “Tourism thrives when partners connect, share ideas and work together. This event is designed to strengthen those relationships and highlight the creativity and hospitality that make our county special.”

 

   A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Distinctly Darke County Tourism Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to visitor experience, community collaboration, hospitality, innovation and the unique character of Darke County.

The collaborative aims to:

• Strengthen relationships among tourism partners
• Encourage shared ideas and cross-promotion
• Celebrate achievements in local tourism
• Build momentum for future initiatives and events
