TROY - At its February 3 meeting, Troy City Council approved the extension of Troy's Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) to Treasure Island Park on the dates of three summer concerts. This is the third year the DORA extension has been activated for the summer concert series, allowing downtown walkers (over age 21) to take DORA beverages to and from Treasure Island.
On June 21, July 4, and August 2 only, DORA drinks will be permitted at Treasure Island Park. Extended boundaries include the park, the levee from the Adams Street bridge to Treasure Island, North Adams Street between West Main Street and the bridge, West Main Street between Adams and Elm Streets, and the east side of Elm Street.
Visitors who wish to bring a DORA beverage from downtown to the park to enjoy during summer concerts, or to take a DORA drink from Treasure Island, are asked to be familiar with DORA rules and obey all signage. Alcohol sales will be available at Treasure Island during the June 21 and August 2 concerts.
