Raise a Glass for a Great Cause at Down a River, Down a Beer Aug. 2 in Piqua
Provided by Mainstreet Piqua
PIQUA — Mainstreet Piqua invites you to sip, savor, and celebrate for a cause at the 2025 Down a River, Down a Beer event, returning Saturday, August 2 from 5:30 to 9:00 PM at 919 S. Main Street—between the iconic Piqua Power Plant and the scenic Great Miami River.

This unique outdoor beer-tasting experience features over 50 craft brews from regional and national breweries, all enjoyed in a shady, grassy riverside setting with breathtaking views. Every attendee will receive a complimentary tasting glass and drink tickets to sample their way through a variety of distinctive flavors.

As the sun sets, the atmosphere will come alive with music from local favorite Nasty Bingo, and at dusk, volunteers from the French Oil Mill Machinery Company will light the river fire rings, adding a dramatic glow to the riverbank.

The fun doesn’t stop there—guests can enjoy:
• Food trucks serving delicious eats
• Pretzel necklaces, raffle baskets, and event T-shirts
• A spectacular fireworks show at 9:30 PM, presented by Elliott Land & Hardscaping

Proceeds from Down a River, Down a Beer benefit Great Miami River stewardship and educational programs, helping to preserve this treasured natural resource for generations to come.
