Eclipse Education Workshop with the  Stillwater Stargazers in Troy | March 16
The Stillwater Stargazers will host an Eclipse Education Workshop at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, 301 W. Main St., from 1-4 p.m. Mike and Judy Feinstein will share a presentation and demonstration about the science of the eclipse, plus families can share a craft to learn about the physics of the eclipse and watch a video presentation to bring together all the beauty and wonder of this once-in-a-lifetime upcoming event. Total Eclipse: The Sun and the Planets in Dayton | April 5-6

Neal Gittleman leads this celestial celebration honoring the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024. The evening begins with Nielsen’s Helios Overture, a day in the life of the sun. Later, Holst’s cosmic tour de force takes center stage. From powerful and commanding to eerie and ethereal, the work has served as a source of inspiration for composers like John Williams and Hans Zimmer. The Moonshade Festival in West Liberty | April 5-8

West Liberty is in the path of the total solar eclipse. Celebrate with all of their small town charm during a 3-day Moonshade Festival. Friday will include fireworks at Lions Park at 8:30 p.m. Saturday will include a dedication of the Andy Detwiler Statute from 12-12:30 p.m. and stargazing at Lions Park from 8:30-9:30 p.m. Sunday will include a dancing stars fundraiser from 5:30-11 p.m. A single festival pass is $15, a family pass (6 people or less) is $50 and a Lions Park camping with family pass is $350. Eclipse Festival in Celina | April 6-8

The 2024 Eclipse Festival at the Mercer County Fairgrounds, 1005 W. Market St., will be in the path of  full totality. The event will feature music, art, vendors, camping, and the “building of a giant!” Bear Hollow Wood Carvers will be building a ‘giant’ (see above) at the fairgrounds. The carve will take 5 days and will stand roughly 30’ tall and will be a permanent structure on the grounds. LEARN MORE

The Piqua Center, 987 E. Ash St., will host a free event with food trucks, photo booth, entertainment, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, cornhole, basketball and kids dance competition. The event is free to attend and takes place from noon to 5 p.m. The first 100 people will get free glasses.

Ohio Caverns Darkness Tour in West Liberty | April 8

The first 300 guests receive an Ohio Caverns lantern for a guided tour through the caverns. Tickets include entrance into the park with eclipse viewing, viewing glasses for eye protection and a gem bag for children ages 5 to 12. The tour is guided and takes one hour. Eclipse Viewing at Do Good in Osgood | April 8

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be Christian music and free family activities (crafts, games, etc.) in the outside areas of Do Good Restaurant and Ministry, 25 W. Main St. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The outdoor event is free and all are welcome. The restaurant will also be getting in the spirit of the eclipse and will be serving a limited menu of special eclipse-inspired foods. All patrons who dine at the restaurant during this time will receive a free pair of Solar Eclipse viewing glasses. LEARN MORE

Wright On My People Solar Eclipse Viewing and Educational Gathering in Bellafontaine | April 8
This event will be held in the Bellafontaine Recreation District at Myeerah Nature Preserve Lake Shelter, 7405 St. Rt. 540, from 2-4 p.m. For $50, you will be provided protective solar glasses and participate in an astronomical presentation discussing solar eclipses, plus light snack trays and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Unity of Dayton Eclipse Party in Huber Heights | April 8

Unity of Dayton offers seven acres for the eclipse viewing along with a meditation as the moon meets the sun, a labyrinth, peace pole, nature paths and playground. Takes place from 2-4:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per car. Located at 6741 Chambersburg Rd. LEARN MORE

Eclipse Patio Party in Botkins | April 8

Inn Between is offering their parking lot and field for viewing of the solar eclipse. Spots are $50 starting at 9 a.m. 

The patio will be open for food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages. Food for purchase will include small breakfast items and snacks, pulled pork box lunches and slices of pizza throughout the day.

We will have live entertainment by local band "Thick and Thin" from 1 - 4 p.m.

Eclipse Party at Moeller Brew Barn in Troy | April 8
