TROY — The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is pleased to host a free family Halloween event, Boo Bash 2026, on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is located at 301 W. Main St., Troy.
The Boo Bash began in 2014 during the yearlong celebration of the Hayner Mansion’s 100th birthday. The Boo Bash is a family event that includes games, crafts and kid-friendly Halloween stories. Children who complete a 1776-themed list of patriotic activities, including the Boston Tea Party and the midnight ride of Paul Revere, will earn a prize and get to sign the Declaration of Independence.
This year’s event includes a special presentation, A Patriot’s Chest, by Steve and Patty Kaplan. Steve is the immediate past president of the Ohio Sons of the American Revolution. The Patriot’s Chest is full of history. Come see how patriots dressed, worked and lived. Each item tells the story about ordinary people, just like us, who did extraordinary things to help create the United States. The entire family is welcome at this free public event.
The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is proudly supported by the citizens of the Troy City School District through a local tax levy and generous gifts to the Friends of Hayner.
The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is located at 301 W. Main St., Troy, OH 45373. Hours of operation are Monday, 7-9 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-5 p.m. The Hayner Center is closed on holidays.
