Information provided

PIQUA — The Johnston Farm & Indian Agency in Piqua, Ohio, is pleased to announce its 2026 calendar of events. Fun and unique programs and festivals are scheduled from April through December at the historic site, located at 9845 N. Hardin Rd., north of Piqua, off St. Rt. 66.

Two festivals highlight this year’s offerings, the third annual Celtic Heritage Festival – which has been moved from Memorial Day weekend to the third weekend in June, and the Historic Trade Fair and Fall Festival, the third weekend of October. These events include entertainment, historical interpretation, tours of the Johnston house, barn, and gardens, mule-drawn canal boat rides and wagon rides, along with craft & food vendors.

According to Site Director, Ben Richard, “We’re excited to offer a variety of events and programs that are fun, educational, and are memory-making opportunities! There’s something for most everyone to enjoy.” Topics range from 19th century architecture to life on the Ohio frontier, to workshops that give folks an opportunity to make something with their own hands, and much more. Specific details can be found online at www.johnstonfarmohio.com, as well as other site information, including season opening and hours of operation.

The Johnston Farm & Indian Agency is one of nearly 58 historic sites owned by the Ohio History Connection, with a mission to, “…bring(s) to life Ohio’s Native American, Frontier, and Canal history, through engaging, educational experiences that connect the past to the present.”
