Miami County Fair is Aug. 14-20; Here are the Highlights

TROY - The Miami County Fair returns Friday, Aug. 14 through Thursday, Aug. 20 at the Miami County Fairgrounds, 650 N. County Road 25-A in Troy. Admission is $6 for those ages 9 and older and free for children 8 and younger. A season pass costs $30 and is good for seven admissions.

   Visitors can enter through two gates. The Main Gate on County Road 25-A is convenient for North End exhibits and general fair activities. The South Gate on Harrison Street offers reserved parking, handicap-accessible parking and a limited amount of general parking on a first-come, first-served basis. Free shuttle wagons regularly transport guests between parking areas and the center of the fairgrounds.
 

The Miami County Fair offers something for nearly every age and interest, including:

  • Junior Fair and 4-H exhibits

  • Livestock shows and competitions

  • Horse events

  • Grandstand entertainment

  • Rides and midway attractions

  • Local vendors

  • Agricultural displays

  • Fair food favorites

  • Arts, crafts, flowers and horticulture exhibits

 

   The headline entertainment this year is country singer Emily Ann Roberts, who will perform with special guest Ian Harrison at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16 at the Grandstand. Purchase tickets HERE.

  • Livestock Scramble at 7 p.m. Friday

  • Tractor Pulls at 5:30 p.m. Saturday ($10 admission)

  • Wiener Dog and Corgi Races at 1 p.m. Sunday

  • Poultry Costume Contest at 4 p.m. Sunday

  • Harness Racing at 6:30 p.m. Monday and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday

  • Kids Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday with free activities and lunch

  • KOI Drag Racing at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Grandstand ($10 admission)

  • Senior & Veterans Appreciation Day is Wednesday (see below)

  • Derby Dog Demolition Derby at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Grandstand ($10 admission)
