Narcotics Search Warrant Nets One Arrest in Covington

COVINGTON - Miami County Sheriff Dave Duchak made the following announcement today, May 1:

   "On 4/30/25 Miami County Sheriff's detectives, deputies, and Covington Police officers executed a narcotics search warrant in the 100 block of S. Ludlow St. in the Village of Covington. The search warrant was the culmination of a several months long investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine.

   Items seized included methamphetamine, scheduled prescription pills, and items for the packaging and selling of narcotics.

   Taken into custody without incident was Daniel L. Sampson, age 40, of Covington. Sampson was incarcerated at the Miami County Jail and charged with felony trafficking narcotics. Additional charges are pending after consultation with the Miami County Prosecuting Attorney."
