COVINGTON — Brazuca USA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu proudly announces the opening of its newest academy at 101 North High Street in downtown Covington. Located in a historic building, the new academy offers more than 2,000 square feet of dedicated training space designed to serve the community with high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction in a welcoming, family-focused environment.

 

   Brazuca USA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is affiliated with The Match Champ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, an internationally respected organization with over 50 academies worldwide, more than 3,000 students, and over 200 black belt instructors. This affiliation ensures consistent, high-quality instruction rooted in proven curriculum and tradition.

 

   The Covington academy marks The Match Champ’s fifth U.S. location, joining schools in Kansas City, Kansas; Danbury, Connecticut; Bellefontaine, Ohio; and Celina, Ohio. The Celina & Bellefontaine academies both have already grown to over 100 active students, demonstrating strong community interest in structured, high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training.  The Covington Location will have a Male & Female Professor.

 

   Brazuca USA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Covington offers programs for students ages 3 and up, with group and private classes available Monday through Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The academy also provides specialized training for law enforcement and first responders, focusing on real-world self-defense, control techniques, and stress management.  The Covington Location will have a Male & Female Professor.

 

   In addition to competition success at local, regional, and national levels, Brazuca USA emphasizes personal growth, discipline, confidence, and physical wellness. Training is designed to support students both on and off the mats, fostering resilience, focus, and community connection.

 

   Owners Shannon Clark and Tiago Buogo shared their excitement about opening the new academy: “We are incredibly excited to bring Brazuca USA to Covington and become part of this community,” said Clark and Buogo. “Our goal is to create a positive, respectful environment where students of all ages can grow, learn, and thrive through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.”
