Road Construction Projects & Closures in Miami County

MIAMI COUNTY -  The following road construction projects are expected to affect traffic in Miami County next week, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. All work is weather permitting. See the full report HERE.

• U.S. 40: U.S. 40 remains closed between state Routes 202 and 201 through Aug. 7 for culvert replacements. Detour: SR 202 to SR 571 to SR 201.

• Interstate 75: Overnight double-lane closures continue in both directions between SR 41 and Eldean Road through July 2026 for concrete repairs.

• State Route 571: SR 571 remains closed between Peters Road and County Road 25A through the 14-day project for culvert replacement and resurfacing. Westbound detour: I-75 North to SR 55 West to SR 48 South. Eastbound detour: SR 48 North to SR 55 East to I-75 South.

• U.S. 36 (Covington): U.S. 36 remains closed between Rangeline Road and High Street for a 90-day project. Motorists should follow the posted local detour.

• Interstate 75: Traffic remains shifted to the inside lanes in both directions between County Road 25A and SR 41 through fall 2026 while crews rebuild the SR 41 interchange ramp.

• State Route 721: Intermittent single-lane closures continue between Ludlow Street and the Montgomery County line from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through September for resurfacing. Traffic is maintained by flaggers.

• State Route 55: Intermittent single-lane closures continue between Franklin Street and the Champaign County line from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through September for resurfacing. Traffic is maintained by flaggers.

• State Route 55: Intermittent single-lane closures also continue between Elm Street and SR 571 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through September for resurfacing. Traffic is maintained by flaggers.

• State Route 718: Intermittent single-lane closures continue between SR 721 and Newton Drive from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through September for resurfacing. Traffic is maintained by flaggers.

• Interstate 75 North ramp to SR 41: The exit ramp remains closed through late summer for interchange improvements. Detour: I-75 North to County Road 25A (Exit 78), then I-75 South to SR 41.

• Interstate 75: Right-lane closures continue in both directions between SR 41 and Eldean Road through late summer for concrete repairs.

• Interstate 75: Single daytime lane restrictions continue between County Road 25A and Eldean Road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through fall 2026 for concrete repairs.

• State Route 571: Intermittent lane restrictions continue between SR 48 and Rachel Ann Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through fall 2026 while crews construct a bike path addition.
   

Local closures:

• Troy: The intersection of SR 41 and SR 55 will be closed Aug. 21-22 for a festival. Motorists should follow the posted local detour.

• Troy: The intersection of SR 41 and SR 55 also will be closed from 3 to 10 p.m. Nov. 27 for a festival. Motorists should follow the posted local detour.

• Piqua: U.S. 36 between Wayne Road and Ash Street will be closed on Friday evenings and Saturdays through September for festivals. Motorists should follow the posted local detour.
