Mainstreet Piqua Celebrates 31st Annual Taste of the Arts on Friday

Information provided
PIQUA – Mainstreet Piqua invites the community to experience a vibrant evening of food, music, and creativity at the 31st Annual Taste of the Arts on Friday, May 16 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. in downtown Piqua.

This beloved spring tradition transforms the streets of downtown into a lively celebration of local talent and
flavor. Guests can look forward to live music performances, artistic demonstrations, family-friendly fun, and, of course, a wide variety of culinary delights.

The music stage will feature Sean McSwain from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m., followed by the popular local band Moonstone from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Aerial artistry will dazzle the crowd with performances by Femme Fatale silk aerialists from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Inside downtown businesses, talented artists will demonstrate their crafts throughout the evening. Attendees can
explore pottery, woodworking, jewelry casting, soap making, painting, drawing, and printmaking – offering an
up-close look at the creative process.

Of course, no Taste of the Arts would be complete without a “taste”! Local restaurants will be serving up bite- sized portions of their signature dishes alongside refreshing drinks. Enjoy locally brewed beer from Crooked Handle Brewing Company, or grab a soda, lemonade, or water.

All food and drink purchases require Taste of the Arts tickets – available for $1 each with a maximum price of $5 per item. Tickets can be purchased at the intersection of Main & Ash Streets, with both cash and credit cards accepted.

Families are encouraged to visit the Kids’ Zone, a tent filled with engaging activities for children of all ages.

Highlights include a spin art machine, face painting, balloon sculptures, a fishing pond, bracelet making, and a collaborative painting project for young artists.

Cyclists are welcome! Ride your bike to the event and park it securely at the Kiwanis Bike Corral on West Ash Street. Children can also join the Kiwanis Bike Rodeo, where they’ll learn bike safety and have a chance to win a free bicycle.

“Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the sights, sounds, and tastes of Piqua. Taste of the Arts is a
true community tradition that brings together the best of downtown – and this year’s event promises to be one
of the best yet,” stated Mainstreet Piqua’s Director, Staci Roth.
