Piqua City Commission to Hold Public Hearing on AES Ohio Franchise Ordinance

PIQUA — The Piqua City Commission will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, to discuss Ordinance No. O-7-26, a franchise agreement between Dayton Power and Light Company, doing business as AES Ohio, and the City of Piqua.

   The ordinance would permit AES Ohio to construct, maintain and operate electric utility facilities within the city.

 

   The public hearing will take place in the City Commission Chambers at the Municipal Government Complex Building, 201 W. Water St.
