Rooted Life Boutique Brings Faith, Fashion and Fellowship to Downtown Piqua

New boutique combines unique women’s fashion, faith-inspired apparel and a collective of local women-owned businesses

PIQUA - Something new is taking root in downtown Piqua.

   Rooted Life Boutique, a new shopping destination founded by local entrepreneurs Ashley and Ricky Paulus, is preparing to open its doors with a fresh approach to women’s fashion, meaningful shopping and community connection.

   Built around the philosophy “Faith. Fashion. Fellowship.,” the boutique will offer thoughtfully curated women’s clothing, accessories, jewelry, candles, gifts and original apparel collections while providing a retail home for several local women-owned small businesses.

   “We wanted to create something different,” said Paulus. “A place where women can discover beautiful, unique clothing that you don’t see everyone else wearing, while supporting local entrepreneurs. But more importantly, we wanted to create an atmosphere where every woman feels welcomed, encouraged, and beautiful just as she is.”

Fashion With Meaning

   Alongside its curated clothing and accessories, Rooted Life Boutique is developing two signature apparel collections designed to combine timeless style with meaningful messages.

YHWH is a minimalist, faith-inspired streetwear line featuring elevated everyday essentials, premium fabrics, classic typography and subtle embroidered details. Inspired by the Hebrew name of God, the collection encourages consumers to think intentionally about the brands they wear and the values they represent.
 

   “We spend so much time wearing and promoting the names of other brands,” Paulus explained. “I started thinking about what it would look like to create something that represents what matters most to me. I want faith-inspired clothing that feels just as beautiful, comfortable, and high quality as the brands we already love. So, we are creating it!”
 

   Women Who Rise is an empowering apparel collection celebrating faith, resilience, confidence and personal growth. Designs such as FAVOR, Rise Anyway, and Rooted & Rising blend feminine, modern styling with messages that encourage women to embrace their identity and purpose.

   Both collections reflect the boutique’s commitment to creating clothing that is not only beautiful and comfortable but meaningful. Both collections are coming soon!

Women Supporting Women

   Beyond fashion, Rooted Life Boutique will operate as a collective of local women-owned businesses, including Amber Temple Art, Ember & Beam, Scent Sisters and others, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs, artisans and makers to showcase their products in a shared retail space.
 

   “Starting a business takes courage, and there are so many talented women in our communities creating incredible things,” Paulus said. “We want to give those women an opportunity to grow while creating a shopping experience that celebrates their creativity. When you shop local, you’re supporting real families, real dreams, and the community we all call home.”
 

Rooted in Something Greater

   Rooted Life Boutique is an extension of the larger Rooted Life mission, inspired by Colossians 2:6-7 and centered on faith, personal growth, fellowship and serving others.

   While openly faith-inspired, the boutique welcomes everyone and strives to create an environment where customers feel valued, connected and encouraged.

   “Faith isn’t just something we talk about. It’s how we treat people,” Paulus shared. “It’s kindness, encouragement, celebrating others, and making people feel like they belong. That’s what we want people to experience here.”

   Through its unique merchandise, women-owned business collective and welcoming atmosphere, Rooted Life Boutique hopes to become a meaningful addition to downtown Piqua and a destination for shoppers throughout the surrounding communities.

Opening Friday, Oct. 30

   Rooted Life Boutique is preparing to welcome customers to its downtown Piqua location on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
