Shamrock Trifecta Next Weekend in Troy

TROY – Get your “Green On,” and catch a triple lineup of St. Patrick’s Day festivities the weekend of March 13-14 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church campus. Family-friendly and adults-only options!
The St. Pat’s Men’s Softball Team will kick off the weekend with a Friday Fish Fry dinner for the community on March 13 in the church undercroft/basement at 409 E. Main Street. Hop in line for the best all-you-can-eat fried fish in the area, meal includes sides, dessert and drink! Dine-in or carry-out, 5:00-7:00 PM. Adults are $12, seniors & carry-out meals are $10. Children 12 years and younger are $8.
Registration is open for the Saturday, March 14 Stan Bender Memorial Shamrock Shuffle 5K followed by Kegs & Eggs! will begin at the Troy Memorial Stadium at 9:30 AM, with same-day registration beginning at 8:15 AM. You can register now at cantstoprunningco.com. Pre-registered participants will be able to pick up their race shirts and packets on Friday, March 13, 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the stadium. More than 200 people typically join the fun. Family-friendly! Following the race, participants will gather at the St. Patrick Church undercroft (basement) at 409 E. Main Street, Troy, for a celebration including loads of door prizes, race awards and the delicious “Kegs & Eggs” breakfast (beer for 21 years and older). Breakfast for non-racers is only $5. The St. Patrick’s Softball team will be cooking breakfast. Rankings are tracked by Can’t Stop Running, and awards will be distributed to the top three in each age/gender category and overall. Proceeds support the St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School Alumni & Friends Fund to offset students’ tuition fees with scholarships and to provide valuable classroom equipment and resources.
