Local Church Celebrates 10th-Annual Christmas Bazaar on Dec. 6
Information provided

TIPP CITY - The Angel House Christmas Bazaar Team at Tipp City Global Methodist has a lot to be excited about this year. We are celebrating our 10th-annual event. To date, the Bazaar and annual Cookie Walk have generated more than $46,000 in support to benefit the children at Angel House Children’s Home in Tarime, Tanzania.

We will host 35+ artisans, including many returning vendors and several new vendors with unique merchandise to share. Come early for the best selection of fabulous gift items.

It is always exciting, as a chairperson, when someone joins the Team. “It’s even more exciting when that person offers a suggestion, takes ownership, and runs with it,” said Gina Duncan. “I ‘cornered’ Julie Johnson last spring and asked if she would coordinate the 2025 Sanctuary Feature. Though I had a different theme in mind, Julie had her own idea. Because she has an extensive collection of Nativity sets, it was only natural for her to choose that theme.”

“The last Nativity display was in 2018. That was the year we moved to Tipp,” said Johnson. “I shared in that display, and it warmed my heart to share Jesus and get involved with the church.”

Johnson will share her collection and invites others to do the same. Click the link Nativity, or visit tippcitygmc.org/bazaar to register and for delivery/pick-up details. Do you have a Nativity set(s) you no longer have room to display and would like to rehome? Consider donating them to Angel House Christmas Bazaar. Contact us at TCGMCBazaar@gmail.com.

The exhibit will be complemented with holiday music throughout the day provided by Wayne High School Choraliers; Stephanie Ours, organist; handbell quartet; David Johnson, Native American flute; and Jamie Thornburg, vocalist.

The Women’s Ministry Team is reinventing the annual Cookie Walk! The team will expand the 40+ years’ event to include a variety of homemade baked goods. Cookies will be sold by the pound as in past years. Other baked goods will be priced individually. Keep it simple this year.

“Gather all your baking needs in one place,” said Amy Polisetty. “Shop ‘Baked Good’ Cookie Walk and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. until they are gone!”

Congregation and community members are also invited to donate handcrafted items to the Angel House booth with 100 percent of sales to benefit the children at Angel House.

BJ Lamp invites the public to “explore our exciting gift baskets which include a variety of entertainment, relaxation, and spiritual items as well as two beautifully hand-crafted quilts and exquisite hand-turned wood items.”

Tickets will be available to purchase from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. during Wednesday Night Community Dinners at the church. Drawings will take place at 3 p.m. at the Bazaar.

“All items are suitable for Christmas giving,” said Lamp. “Or give some, keep some. There is a lot to go around!”

Please join us from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at Tipp City Global Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio. There is parking at the church, street parking, or a public parking lot on Broadway Avenue.
