Purse Auction and Luncheon in the Fairy Garden Set for March 15 in Tipp City

TIPP CITY - Tipp Monroe Community Services (TMCS) invites you to step into a whimsical world of fun and fundraising at the annual Purse Auction and Luncheon, happening on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Tipp City Global Methodist Church. This year’s enchanting theme, Fairy Garden, adds a touch of magic to this beloved community event.

 

   Doors open at 10 a.m. for purse viewing and silent auction bidding. A delicious luncheon will be served at 11 a.m., followed by the live auction at 12 p.m. Galen Gingerich will return as the auctioneer. The ticket cost is $30 per person or $200 for a table of eight. Ticket sales begin Feb. 3 at the TMCS office only. Cash or checks are accepted for tickets. Credit cards are accepted for purse purchases during the auction.

 

   There is an exciting new twist to the event! This year, guests who purchase a table have the unique opportunity to decorate their table to align with the Fairy Garden theme. Bring your imagination and flair to transform your table into a magical display! There will be a contest for the best table decoration.

 

   Event highlights include a live auction with 50 designer purses from brands such as Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Fossil, with surprises like gift cards tucked inside. A silent auction with approximately 30 additional purses available for bidding before and during the live auction. A boutique where you can shop for gently loved purses and jewelry. The popular paper purse and 50/50 raffle will return. There will also be door prizes.

 

   Proceeds from the event benefit the Lunch On Us program, which provides meals to children in Tipp City during the summer months. With demand and expenses continuing to rise. “In-kind and community donations help support this program, but the auction remains the primary source of income,” said Kathy Taylor, TMCS executive director.
