Tippecanoe Community Band to Perform "Music’s in the Air – The Early Years" Spring Concert on May 4

TIPP CITY – The Tippecanoe Community Band invites you to their upcoming spring concert, Music’s in the Air – The Early Years, on Sunday, May 4.

 

   This lively performance will transport audiences through a musical journey celebrating classic and timeless melodies.

 

   The concert will be held at the Tipp Center at 855 N. Third St. in Tipp City. Doors open at 2:15 p.m., with the concert beginning at 3:00 p.m. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.

 

   Gail Ahmed, the band’s longtime director, said, “We are excited to share a program filled with early musical favorites that will spark nostalgia and joy for listeners of all ages.”

 

   The Tippecanoe Community Band, consisting of approximately 65 talented musicians, has delighted audiences for over 45 years. Founded in 1980 with just 8 members, the band has grown into a cherished local ensemble. It continues to operate under the support of Tipp Monroe Community Services, with Ahmed proudly directing since its inception.

 

   Tipp Monroe Community Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying and fulfilling the needs of Tipp City and Monroe Township residents by providing recreational, educational, cultural, and social service programs.
