Troy Main Street Launches New Collectible Ornament Series

TROY – A beloved Downtown Troy holiday tradition is celebrating a milestone this year, and Troy Main Street is giving the community a new way to bring a little of that Christmas magic home.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Downtown Troy Santa House, Troy Main Street has unveiled the first ornament in a new annual series of limited-edition Downtown Troy Christmas ornaments.
Fittingly, Ornament No. 1 features the Santa House, which has welcomed thousands of children and families to the Public Square over the past decade.
“For ten years, the Santa House has been part of the moment when Christmas really begins to feel like Christmas in Downtown Troy,” said Amy Breinich, Executive Director of Troy Main Street. “There are kids who first visited Santa House when they were little who are now teenagers. Families have made it part of their traditions year after year. It felt like the perfect place to begin a collectible series celebrating the places and memories that make our downtown special.”
The Santa House has become a centerpiece of Troy’s holiday season, welcoming families throughout the weeks between the annual Grand Illumination and Christmas. Its familiar presence on the Square, surrounded by lights, decorated storefronts and historic architecture, has become part of the holiday experience for residents and visitors alike.
The new ornament series will highlight a different piece of Downtown Troy each year, creating a growing collection that celebrates the community’s landmarks, traditions, architecture and sense of place.
The 2026 Santa House ornament is a limited edition, and pre-orders are strongly encouraged. Pre-orders close at noon on September 25. A limited quantity will be available for purchase after Thanksgiving, while supplies last.
Proceeds from ornament sales support Troy Main Street and its ongoing work to strengthen, promote and preserve Downtown Troy.
“It’s a tiny piece of Downtown Troy that gets to come home with you. And someday, we hope people will look at a tree filled with ornaments from this series and see years of downtown memories hanging from the branches.”
