Troy Main Street Receives National Accreditation

Provided by Troy Main Street

COLUMBUS – Heritage Ohio and the Ohio Main Street Program are proud to announce the National Accreditation of Troy Main Street. This recognition is awarded through the Ohio Main Street Program, which serves as the coordinating agency in Ohio for Main Street America. Troy became a member of the Ohio Main Street Program in 2004.

During a full-day evaluation visit, the Troy Main Street demonstrated clear evidence of a strong, effective program focused on achieving measurable outcomes in downtown revitalization. To qualify for Accreditation status, communities must meet rigorous national standards that include building grassroots-driven revitalization efforts, fostering strong public–private partnerships, supporting economic opportunity for small businesses and entrepreneurs, and actively preserving historic places, spaces, and cultural assets.

This prestigious designation reflects the dedication, vision, and hard work of Troy Main Street’s board, staff, and volunteers.

“This recognition really belongs to the people who make downtown Troy what it is,” said Amy Breinich, Executive Director of Troy Main Street. “From small business owners unlocking their doors each morning to neighbors showing up to support local and our board and volunteers committing to the work of the organization, this accreditation shows what’s possible when a community rallies around its downtown.”
