Washington Road in Piqua to Close in Phases for Utility Project

PIQUA - The City of Piqua advises motorists of upcoming road closures on Washington Road to accommodate utility improvements.

   To minimize disruptions, the work will be completed in two phases, with only one section of the roadway closed at a time. Local traffic will continue to have access to homes and businesses within the work zone throughout the project.

The scheduled closures are:

• Washington Road between Arrowhead Drive and Drake Road: Closed Tuesday, August 4 through Tuesday, September 15. 

• Washington Road between Drake Road and Bausman Road: Projected to close Wednesday, September 16 through Wednesday, October 28.

   A map showing the closure areas and detour routes is included below. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detours and allow additional travel time while work is underway.
