Tipp City Area Arts Council Announces “A Decadent Affair”

TIPP CITY - The Tipp City Area Arts Council is announcing its inaugural event, “A Decadent Affair,” set for May 9.

   This highly anticipated evening will bring together the best in local wine, gourmet delights, music, and visual art in support of the arts in our community. Guests will have the opportunity to taste a curated selection of wines from fantastic local wineries, while enjoying small bites from local caterers & pâtisseries, live music, and art displays (with items for sale) from local artists. Your participation will directly support the Tipp City Area Arts Council’s mission to foster and promote the arts in our region.

Event highlights:

   The Decadent Affair will be held at the Tipp Center, 855 N. Third St., Tipp City. The VIP experience begins at 5 p.m., followed by general admission at 6 p.m. The event concludes at 9 p.m. All tickets must be purchased in advance.

• VIP Experience (5–6 p.m.): Includes early access, exclusive tastings, a VIP gift bag and 10 tasting tickets. Additional tastings may be purchased.

• General Admission (6–9 p.m.): Includes eight tasting tickets. Additional tastings may be purchased.

• Complimentary Tasting Glass: All attendees will receive a tasting glass for the evening’s wine offerings.

   Participating wineries include Dragonfly Winery (Urbana), Old Schoolhouse Winery (Eaton) and Old Mason Winery (West Milton).

   Food offerings include a charcuterie grazing table by The Dayton Charcuterie Gal and a dessert grazing table featuring sweets from multiple pâtisseries. Guests may also sample handcrafted chocolates from Mosaic Chocolate.

 

  Live music will be provided by Matt of Dayton.

   Featured artists include Cathy Pearson (paintings), Sam Grillmeier (glass), Angela Marion (fiber), Anita Heras (jewelry), Frank Trick (paintings and jewelry), Steve Wohler (paintings), Tom Thompsen (Custom Bottle Lamps LLC), Alison Rusk (paper) and Barrel & Wicks (custom bottle candles), among others.
 

Raffle: Tickets will be available at the event for the Decadent Affair raffle, featuring prizes including vacations, artwork and more.

   The event is sponsored by Alvetro Orthodontics and Excellence in Dentistry, with additional support from the Tipp Center.
