Accessible Restroom Trailer Canceled at Miami County Fair After Storm Damage

TROY - An accessible restroom trailer that was scheduled to be available during the Miami County Fair has been canceled after sustaining significant storm damage at the Champaign County Fair.

   The Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities announced Thursday that the trailer cannot be repaired in time for the Miami County Fair, which begins Friday and runs through Aug. 20.

 

   The MCBDD had arranged to sponsor the trailer as an accessible restroom option for fairgoers. The board apologized for the inconvenience and said it plans to schedule the trailer for future community events once repairs are completed.

 

   The trailer was also available at last year's Miami County Fair and was equipped with an entrance ramp, universal changing table, ceiling lift system, sink and ADA toilet.

 

   The Miami County Fairgrounds has other restroom facilities available throughout the grounds, including restrooms in the Duke Lundgard Building.
