An Art Affair Set for April 25 in Tipp City

TIPP CITY - The Tipp City Area Arts Council’s An Art Affair—a fine arts and fine crafts event—will be held Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tipp Center, 855 N. Third St.

   On April 25, TCAAC invites the public to explore the artwork created by some of the greater Dayton area’s most talented artists. There will also be approximately 40 booths featuring art in a variety of mediums—from chocolate and soap to paintings, wood, glass, pottery and cement—and more available for shopping at the Art Affair vendor show. Mother’s Day shopping opportunities abound, or visitors can indulge themselves with a new piece of art.

Performing artists from the Dayton area will also entertain visitors. The musical lineup includes: 10 a.m., David Zelmon; 11 a.m., Josh Llewellyn; noon, Tony Peters; 1 p.m., The Paynes; 2 p.m., RockUp; and 3 p.m., Adam West.

Culinary arts will also be represented.  Food trucks — Lilia’s Café and Dunkers & Beans — will be on-site to serve guests, vendors and the public. Picnic tables will be available in the side parking area.

   Additionally, the TCAAC Fine Art Exhibition and Sale will be held in the center’s lobby from Monday, April 13, through April 25, the day of the vendor show. Many pieces will be for sale and on display in the front lobby. The public may visit the exhibition during the center’s regular business hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors are encouraged to vote for the People’s Choice Award, located in the exhibition hall.

   Also on display is the TCAAC Permanent Art Gallery, located in the central hall area of the Tipp Center. Visitors can follow posted signs to view artwork by local artists, including several new pieces. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, year-round. Guests are encouraged to sign the guest book located in the front lobby.

   Entrance to the Art Affair is at the rear of the building, where ample parking is available. Admission is free, and the event is accessible.
