Miami County Gem, Mineral, Fossil and Jewelry Show this Weekend in Troy
TROY — The 42nd annual gem, mineral, fossil and jewelry show will return to Miami County Fairgrounds this weekend, bringing collectors, hobbyists and families together for a two-day showcase of earth science and craftsmanship.

Hosted by the Miami County Gem and Mineral Club, the event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Duke Lundgard Building, according to event listings.

Organizers say attendees can expect a wide range of vendors offering minerals, fossils, gemstones and handmade jewelry, along with demonstrations and interactive activities. Similar past shows have featured geode cracking, gold panning, auctions and educational displays designed to appeal to both seasoned collectors and newcomers.

Admission is $3 for adults, while children are admitted free, and parking is available at no cost.

In addition to shopping and exhibits, the show will include family-friendly attractions such as children’s activities, door prizes and opportunities for mineral identification by club members. Events like these are part of the club’s broader mission to promote interest in geology, gem cutting and mineral collecting throughout the community.

The annual show has become a longstanding local tradition, drawing visitors from across the region to Troy for a weekend centered on science, education and unique natural treasures.
