Rewind in Time at the Throwback Thursday Event in Piqua April 23

PIQUA – Get ready for a day of family fun, community connection, and old-time celebration at the Throwback Thursday event, happening on April 23rd, 2026, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Downtown Piqua!
This event promises something for everyone with a full lineup of exciting activities, nostalgia, and family entertainment. Highlights include:

Shopping - Many downtown businesses will be open and ready for customers to stop by and buy amazing merchandise!
Sidewalk Games – Test your skills at classic yard and sidewalk games.
Artistic Expression - Make your own friendship bracelets, fortune tellers, god’s eyes, sand art, or enjoy getting your face painted.
Raffle Drawing – Trade in your receipts from participating downtown businesses for tickets to enter into our raffle drawing. The winner will be announced at the end of the event.
Costume Contest - Dress up in an era of your choice and compete against others to see who wins our costume contest! Categories will be “Most authentic”, “Totally Tubular (Most Outrageous)”, and a social media “Fan favorite”.

“Throwback Thursday is a student-led event from the Service-Learning class at Piqua High School,” said Kacie Pace, teacher at Piqua High School. “The students have worked for months to brainstorm ideas, work with area leaders to organize everything and will be working the event itself.”
“This event is all about celebrating our community while bringing families downtown to the local businesses,” said Kameron Pfenning, Co-Chair of the Junior MainStreet Board. “If you are looking to socialize, shop, or have a blast from the past, come downtown to enjoy our Throwback Thursday event!!”
