Tippecanoe Community Band Announces Spring Concert

TIPP CITY - The Tippecanoe Community Band will present its spring concert, Music, Camera, Action, on Sunday, April 26. The performance will feature a lively mix of cinematic favorites and well-known selections sure to entertain audiences of all ages.

 

   The concert will take place at the Tipp Center, 855 N. Third St., Tipp City. Doors open at 2:15 p.m., and the performance begins at 3:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

 

   Band director Gail Ahmed said the program was designed to connect with audiences through familiar and memorable music. “This concert brings together timeless pieces and movie-inspired music that audiences will recognize and enjoy from the very first note,” Ahmed said.

 

   The Tippecanoe Community Band includes approximately 65 musicians and has been performing in the community for more than 45 years. Established in 1980 with just eight members, the band has grown into a well-loved local ensemble. It continues to operate under the support of Tipp Monroe Community Services, with Ahmed serving as director since the band’s founding.

 

   Tipp Monroe Community Services is a nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for Tipp City and Monroe Township residents through recreational, educational, cultural, and social service programs.
