Tri-County Pond Clinic Set for July 28 in Troy

MIAMI COUNTY — Managing a pond can be a challenge, but area residents can learn how to keep theirs healthy and attractive at the upcoming Tri-County Pond Clinic, set for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.
The free event, hosted by Ohio State University Extension, will take place outdoors and is open to the public. Topics will include pond management, legal considerations for pond ownership, and fish selection.
Eugene Braig, OSU Extension aquatic ecosystems program director, will speak on managing weeds, fish, and other pond-related issues. Peggy Kirk Hall, director of the OSU Agricultural and Resource Law Program, will cover the legal aspects of owning a pond. Caden Buschur, Extension educator for Darke County, will discuss selecting the right fish for your pond.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. Attendees may also bring aquatic weeds for identification.
